- Appropriate energy conversion system structural design (Thermal, cogeneration, combined cycle, hydraulic, wind power plants, gas turbines, industrial boilers and furnaces) and application oriented technical, economical and environmental analyses.
- Development of application oriented grate, burner and fluidized bed type coal combustion systems. Related rehabilitation and innovation applications.
- Structural system design for fuel-oil and natural gas fired boiler systems and rehabilitation applications.
- Design and structural development of appropriate circulating fluidized bed boiler systems for Turkish lignite.
- Application oriented and most appropriate heat recovery systems and boilers in light of energy-environmental and economical conditions.
- Design and structural development of circulation fluidized b boilers appropriate for efficient and clean combustion of Turkish ignite.
- Design and structural development of emission control systems (particles, SO2 and NOx filters) considering the fuel and boiler properties, operational, environmental and economical conditions.
- The development of industrial boilers and furnaces, cement kilns, district heating and cooling systems.
- Design and development of toxic waste combustion, elimination and related waste management systems.
- Application oriented R&D into various renewable energies such as; wind, solar radiation, hydraulic, geothermal, biomass etc.
- Application oriented R&D into industrial furnaces, boilers, cement kilns, district heating and cooling systems.
